Wandering around In the Land of Cumbaya
There is a suburb of Quito, Ecuador called Cumbaya. (Pronounced exactly like the campfire song.)
If you had found out about this, and it was only a $0.25 bus ride to get there, you’d want to go check it out too.
Such was the case of my very last day in Quito.
I went to the bus terminal to buy my ticket to Guayaquil in advance. My bus would leave Quito at 10pm and drive overnight, dropping me off in Guayaquil in the morning for my flight out to Barcelona.
Bus ticket in hand, I had my entire day free. I was already on the side of town where Cumbaya is located and it was only a $0.25 bus ride to get there. So, hey, let’s go check it out!
