Super Kitschy “Tourist Trap” Wall Drug in Wall, SD
There is a place along I-95, near the North Carolina/South Carolina state line called “South of the Border”. Out in the western part of South Dakota is a place called Wall Drug that reminds me of that.
It’s in the town of Wall, SD. (Hence the name.) Both places are just over-the-top tourist traps. In fact, they are so kitschy and touristy that you really have to go there just to see them. And it’s hard not to see them. They have billboards for 100 miles or more in every direction.
Not just a billboard but literally dozens of billboards.
